By enrolling in Binjai Academy, you agree to the following terms.
1. The Service Model
Binjai Academy is a center-based STEM education provider for young children ages 6-8. We offer term-based enrollment in our Competition Mathematics and Engineering Immersion programs. You are entering into a service agreement with Binjai Academy for educational services.
2. Enrollment and Fee Structure
Assessment Fee
A nominal assessment fee may apply for initial evaluation sessions. This fee is creditable toward your first term's program fees upon enrollment.
Term-Based Enrollment
Programs are offered on a term basis (approximately 11 weeks). Full term fees are due upon enrollment confirmation. Each term includes a set number of sessions as specified in the program details.
Session Structure
Each program consists of 80-minute sessions, twice per week. Session schedules are provided at enrollment and are subject to the academy's term calendar.
3. Withdrawal and Refund Policy
- •Before Term Starts: Full refund minus administrative fee if withdrawal is requested before the term begins.
- •During Term: Pro-rated refund may be available for withdrawals due to documented medical or relocation reasons.
- •Missed Sessions: Makeup sessions will be arranged where possible for absences notified 24 hours in advance. Unnotified absences are non-refundable.
4. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
- •Ensure punctual drop-off and pick-up at scheduled session times
- •Notify the academy of any changes to emergency contact information
- •Inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect your child's participation
- •Provide advance notice (minimum 24 hours) for session absences
- •Support your child's learning by engaging with progress reports and recommendations
5. Academy Responsibilities
- •Provide high-quality, age-appropriate instruction aligned with our curriculum standards
- •Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing learning environment
- •Employ qualified mentors who have completed our vetting and training requirements
- •Communicate regularly with parents about student progress
- •Adhere to all safeguarding policies as outlined in our Child Safety Policy
6. Intellectual Property
All curriculum materials, teaching resources, and methodologies used at Binjai Academy are proprietary. Parents may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit these materials. Student work and portfolios remain the property of the student and their family.
7. Photography and Media
We may photograph or video sessions for educational documentation and marketing purposes. Separate consent will be obtained for any use of your child's image. You may opt out of marketing use while still permitting educational documentation.
8. Limitation of Liability
While we maintain appropriate insurance and take all reasonable precautions, Binjai Academy's liability is limited to the fees paid for services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This does not affect your statutory rights.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
By enrolling your child in Binjai Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
