Why Binjai is Different
Designed to reduce the obstacles between children and the material.
槟佳的独特之处
Screen-Minimal Learning
无屏幕学习
Competition math is 100% screen-free. Engineering uses screens only for documentation (photos, videos). No iPads for instruction. No "educational games." Just hands-on problem-solving that builds attention span and tactile reasoning.
90%+ Hands-On
90%+ 动手实践
Every session centers on building, testing, and iterating. Students work with gears, levers, circuits, and Beast Academy manipulatives. They learn by doing, not watching demonstrations.
100% In-Person
100% 面授课程
Small classes (max 8 students) with full instructor attention. Real peer collaboration in a physical workspace designed for deep focus.
The Problem We Solve
我们解决的问题
iPad Math Apps
平板数学应用
Quick dopamine hits, shallow understanding. Your child swipes through problems but can't explain their thinking.
Boring Mandarin Classes
枯燥的中文课
Rote memorization, disconnected vocabulary. Characters are forgotten within weeks because there's no context.
Rote Memorization Tutoring
填鸭式补习
More worksheets, more stress, more burnout. Speed without depth creates fragile knowledge.
Our Solution
我们的解决方案
Children tend to learn well when the lesson gives them a good experience with the material. We try to reduce what gets in the way— pacing mismatches, abstract concepts without context, limited individual attention—so children can focus on engaging with challenging math and hands-on engineering, in Mandarin.

Questions Parents Ask
家长常问问题
What is the best math enrichment for P1 P2 P3 in Singapore?
Binjai Academy uses Beast Academy curriculum—the same program behind America's top Math Olympiad teams—adapted for Singapore competitions (SMKC, SASMO, NMOS).
Where can I find Mandarin immersion STEM programs in Bukit Timah?
Binjai Academy offers full Mandarin-immersion engineering with hands-on mechanical systems, taught entirely in Mandarin by experienced mentors.
How can my child prepare for Sony Creative Science Award?
Our Science & Engineering program includes one term aligned with the SCSA framework, where students explore mechanical toy design and the engineering design process. This builds the hands-on skills and documentation habits that serve students well in SCSA and beyond. Participation in SCSA is optional.
What enrichment programs help with DSA applications?
Our programs develop strong problem-solving skills and project documentation that can support applications like DSA. Students build genuine capability through competition math (SMKC/SASMO/NMOS preparation) and documented engineering projects throughout the year.
Are there screenless learning options for young children in Singapore?
Binjai Academy is screen-minimal. Competition Math is 100% screen-free. Engineering is 90%+ hands-on—students build with LEGO, cardboard, wood. Screens only for documentation and journals.
Can international school students enroll at Binjai Academy?
Yes—we warmly welcome students from international schools across Singapore, including SAS, Dulwich College, Tanglin Trust, Chatsworth, UWC, and many others. Binjai Academy offers bilingual enrichment classes in competition-level Math and Science + Engineering, delivered through full Mandarin immersion. The Mandarin vocabulary and concepts students acquire support preparation for both the PSLE (for those in or transitioning to the local system) and IGCSE curricula common in international schools. This complements English-medium schooling by building strong bilingual proficiency in logical thinking, problem-solving, and STEM subjects.
